The Redmi Note 12 Series so far consists of five devices, Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Redmi Note 12 Pro+, Redmi Note 12 Speed Edition and Redmi Note 12 Pro Extreme Edition. The Redmi brand is reportedly working on launching the sixth device in the Note 12 series, called Redmi Note 12 Turbo (Note 12T).

The soon-to-be-released Redmi Note 12 Turbo will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset, which has not yet been officially announced. The device will feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate. It will come with 12 GB of memory and up to 512 GB of storage. At the back, it will use a 50 + 8 + 2 MP camera trio, with an expected 5,500 mAh battery, 67 W fast charging, and a USB Type-C connector (what else?).

Although Qualcomm has not confirmed anything about this new 7th generation chipset, some online leaks reveal more about it. Roland Quandt revealed that the company is ready to launch the Snapdragon SM7475 chipset, which could be called Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 or Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1.

The new chipset will feature a three-cluster design with one Prime core, 3 Gold cores and 4 Silver cores. The Prime core will have a clock speed of 2.4 GHz, while the Gold cores will have a maximum clock speed of 2.36 GHz. The Silver cores are expected to operate at 1.8 GHz. The chipset may use new core designs and will likely include Cortex A715 for the Prime and Gold cores, while the Silver cores may use Cortex A510.

No word yet on the Redmi Note 12 Turbo's release, even if it will be "only chai" or perhaps global. But as soon as I know more, I'll be back with details.
