Lu Weibing, partner and president of Xiaomi Group, announced that the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition will be released this month . It will be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor and X7 independent display chip.
The Dimensity 9200+ processor, released in May this year, is based on TSMC's latest 4 nanometre process. The CPU is a composition of one Cortex-X3 supercore, three Cortex-A715 cores and four Cortex- A510 power cores. The main frequency of Cortex-X3 has been increased from 3.05 GHz to 3.35 GHz. The main frequencies of the Cortex-A715 core and Cortex-A510 core have also been increased from 2.85 GHz and 1.8 GHz to 3 GHz and 2 GHz, respectively.
The performance of the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition shouldn't be a problem, and the AnTuTu results reflect this. 1,774,714 points is simply incredible, as the Red Magic 8 Pro+ leads the current list with 1,304,945 points. I wonder...
Redmi and Pixelworks have collaborated to create the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition phone. The launch will take place this month, in August. It's not just the processor that will be a big new feature in the phone, but also the Xiaomi Furious Engine 2.0 and the power behind it.
I don't know exactly when we'll see the results of this new trio collaboration, but I can say for sure that Redmi is setting the bar high again.
