The Redmi series (not Note) has had a rather unfortunate fate lately, after Redmi 10, Redmi 11 was dropped, and then came the Redmi 12C. More emphasis will be placed on the Redmi Note range, which is the top of the mid-range range. But the entry-level range has been depleted. But the Redmi 12 is coming soon.
The only member, the Redmi 12C introduced last year, in December 2022, I already thought it was interesting that a subtype was coming, not the main line. The Redmi 12, on the other hand, is still in obscurity, but it gives some hope that the FCC side and received its certificate.
The FCC has also posted on its Twitter page the full report in which Xiaomi has submitted a new phone for review. But luckily, the same model number has also turned up in the IMEI database, which now has the phone's name specifically marked.
The Redmi 12 is the For variant C it will debut with a new MediaTek processor, but not the latest one. The MediaTek Helio G88 is not new to the Redmi series, it's the same one used in the Redmi 10 is. So there will be no great improvement in performance. Interestingly, the processor can handle the new Android foundations, but not the other components. So the new model comes with updated hardware that can now enjoy all the new features of the new version of Android. I will be curious to see how the Redmi 10 Will MIUI 13 and Android 12 be the basis for 12, or will MIUI 14 be based on Android 13. I'm eagerly waiting...
