MIUI users are no strangers to Mi Drop, now known universally as ShareME. The essence of the feature over the years has been that two MIUI phones (because it used to be not just for Xiaomi/Redmi phones) could transfer any file between each other over a direct WiFi connection (not a router) at lightning speed. Whether it was several gigs of video files or a complete mp3 album.
Last year, the Mi Drop app, which had been around for years, was replaced by ShareME, as the three leading Chinese brands Xiaomi, Oppo and Realme started to integrate the feature system-wide, making it possible to send files quickly between them.
Now 4 more manufacturers have joined the group, and we can now send large files between phones from 7 brands - Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Meizu, OnePlus, Realme and BlackShark.
