The latest version of MIUI, EE 12, has already arrived on a couple of devices. This list has now been extended with the Redmi 9, which will also receive this update soon.
The main new features of MIUI 12.5 EE are not in the design, which remains the same. In this case, the developers have paid particular attention to improving optimisation.
The main purpose of the upgrade is to create stability and fluidity in the existing system and reduce its resource requirements.
On top of all this, it also comes with Google's October security patch for the Redmi 9.
The update is currently available in a stable beta phase for beta testers, but this is expected to change in the near future, and the general public will be able to enjoy the optimised MIUI version.
