I wrote yesterday that the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 AnTuTu results were better than Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. And this morning MediaTek itself released a full test video with almost all benchmark apps tested. The brand of the phone is not mentioned, so no details are revealed at this time.
Test results are as follows:
- AnTuTu v9.0.7: 1.017.488
- GeekBench v51: 1.273 / 4.324
- PCMark: 17.573
- GFX Manhattan 3.0: 14,731 frames / 238 FPS
- GFX Manhattan 3.1: 10,062 frames / 162 FPS
- GFX Aztec 1440p Vulkan: 2.793 frame / 43 FPS
- GFX Aztec 1440p OpenGL: 2.692 frame / 42 FPS
- ETHZ AI Benchmark v5: 1.024
When compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, it outperforms the Dimensity 9000 in many tests, such as AnTuTu 997.762 or GeekBench 1.237 / 3.832. This puts MediaTek's chip at the top, making it a strong contender in the high-end market. Traditionally, MediaTek chips are known for their affordability in entry-level devices. But now the company is pushing the boundaries and has expanded into the mid-range and flagship segments. While previously Qualcomm's Snapdragon was the best choice among various high-end phones, Dimensity chips are slowly eating up its market share.
