There are many rumours about Xiaomi's mysterious phone sub-brand, the Pocophone F1. No longer a rumour, the affordable top-of-the-range handset is coming to Europe soon. No word yet on which country the new model will debut in, but a lot is already known about it and official pictures have been leaked.
Until now, we called it a weak rumour, which is why we didn't push the articles about it, but it seems that it is a real device that we will soon get to know. Yesterday, it appeared in the big AnTuTu list and scored some pretty rough scores.
Given that the Pocophone F1 is also powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor, this is not surprising.
Alongside the SD845, it promises a pleasant 4,000 mAh battery, the familiar liquid cooling from BlackShark and a new, centrally aligned camera pair and infrared face recognition module up front. In addition, the not-so-small battery QC3.0 can be quickly recharged with fast charging.
The Mi 8 SE has a similar screen design to the Mi 8 SE, with a sensor island on top, but without 3D face recognition. The aluminium casing means no wireless charging, but there's a USB-C connector and a headphone jack on top.
When and where will it be available? We will have to wait for the official announcement, but it is already available in some stores, such as in Belarus.
According to the website, the Pocophone F1 reveals some more information about the phone in addition to the above specifications. Along with 6GB of RAM, you can choose between 64GB or 128GB of storage, which can be further expanded with a MicroSD card in the hybrid SIM tray. Rear dual camera with 12+5MP AI support and 20MP front for selfies. Price converted from Belarusian rubles is 123,415 HUF at introductory price, followed by the regular price of 137,220 HUF. This doesn't tell us anything yet, because honestly we don't know what is charged extra compared to the original price.
The phone has also surfaced in Romania, the pictures are originally from there, but the Romanian webshop has not posted the details or price. We will see the phone soon, so be patient!
