After a significant decline last year, Xiaomi's tablet machines have boomed again and the company now boasts four versions. Xiaomi Pad 5 / Pro / Pro Wifi and Pro 12.4 have been released so far and of these only the the first to reach us. This unfortunately remains a practice only the Xiaomi Pad 6 comes to us, the Pro and the others do not.
Traces of the new Xiaomi tablet Xiaomiui blogger found in the MIUI code. From the code, it turns out that there will be 2 versions first, as usual. The Xiaomi Pad 6 will be codenamed "pip" and the Pro "liuqin".
Known specifications
Xiaomiui says the Xiaomi Pad 6 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. This is the same chipset that is at the heart of the current Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, as well as the Oppo Pad, Vivo Pad and Lenovo Legion Tab Y700.
Compared to the Pad 5, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 will be a big improvement. For those who don't know, the Xiaomi Pad 5 has an SD 860 CPU, which will be much better than its predecessor in terms of performance. The new chipset is also better in terms of power efficiency, which indicates that the battery life of the new Xiaomi Pad 6 will be long. Xiaomiui also claims that the Pad 6 will be released in China, India and other international regions with model number M82. The Pad 6 is expected to have a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The rumoured Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU will be used in the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is Qualcomm's high-performance 4nm flagship chipset, which was recently replaced by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The inclusion of this chipset means that it will be among the most powerful Android tablets on the market and is likely to be very popular with gamers due to the chipset's excellent GPU performance. The device will feature a 120 Hz AMOLED display with a resolution of 1880×2880 pixels. It will have 2 cameras on the back, one main and one secondary, responsible for the depth of field. It will have 4 speakers, pen and external key support, NFC functionality.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro will only be released in China like its predecessor, and is not planned for other markets for the time being. Release dates are not even available at rumour level. But as soon as we know more, we'll be back with details.
