The Xiaomi Book S 12.4″ even appeared on Geekbench in MarchBut now there's more news about Xiaomi's new 2-in-1 notebook, which could become a competitor to the Microsoft Surface Pro X in Europe.
More details have emerged about the Xiaomi Book S 12.4″. The 12.4-inch tablet will be an ARM-based Windows 2-in-1 machine, like the Surface Pro X. The Xiaomi Book S 12.4″ will support a detachable keyboard and will be based on the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 chipset, among others.
Xiaomi has published the EU Declaration of Conformity (CE) documentation for the 12.4-inch tablet Book S with model number MIT2205-AA. In the case of the Book S 12.4, Xiaomi has included a hands-on image that appears to be from a certifying authority such as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States.
Xiaomi believes that people will use the Book S 12.4″ first as a 2-in-1, not as a tablet. Based on previous leaks, the Book S 12.4″ will run Windows 11 with Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2, 8 GB of RAM. As a result, all indications point to the Xiaomi Book S 12.4″ being the Surface Pro X and not a tablet that Xiaomi wants to compete with the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus or Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Unfortunately, the Xiaomi release date is currently unknown.
