Xiaomi's main line always had a variant with a T in it during the year, which was usually a high-end Chinese Redmi phone. Although it's still incomprehensible why the Redmi name is not a good one, why add a letter to the name of an existing phone. The Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro are expected to arrive soon.
Xiaomi 13T
At first, you might think that the Redmi K60 series would be launched on the global market, but according to the IMEI database, it's not. The Xiaomi 13T model number is 2306EPN60G, which indicates a global release and has no Chinese counterpart. So we can expect a new phone that will not be released in China or India.
The code name of the phone is "Aristotle", which only adds to the global list of names. The MIUI releases for the phone can only confirm that a global, European and Japanese release is possible (V14.0.0.39.TMFMIXM, V14.0.0.28.TMFEUXM, V14.0.0.9.TMFJPXM). Rumours suggest that it will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, but it is also possible that it will be powered by a top-of-the-range model from last year.
Xiaomi 13T Pro
The Xiaomi 13T Pro will be one of the existing top Redmi's from China. Most likely the Redmi K60 Ultra will be globalized. I wrote about the phone earlier, which has already been approved by the Chinese authorities and will theoretically be unveiled in July in its home country. This has not yet taken place at the time of writing. From here, we already know that the Xiaomi 13T Pro will come with a MediaTek processor, not Qualcomm. More specifically, it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+.
The code name of the K60 Ultra is "corot", which will also be the code name of the Xiaomi 13T Pro, which will be "corot_global". The MIUI version, however, is still so secret that nothing will be revealed.
In addition to the Redmi K60 Ultra, the Redmi Pad 2, Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 and Xiaomi Pad 6 MAX will also be launched in China in late July or early August. Only after that is the Xiaomi 13T family expected to be launched globally. So we'll have to wait another month or so before any official info comes out. Or not. But for sure!
