Looking at the specs, it looks like Redmi has unveiled some great new phones today, which may be coming to us under a different name (at some point).
The Redmi K40 has a slightly inferior processor and cameras compared to its counterparts, but the 6GB RAM model is also much more affordable. The only real difference between the big brothers is the cameras. The Pro Plus, unlike the 64-megapixel main sensor on the regular Pro, has a 108-megapixel one, while the regular Redmi K40 shoots great pictures with a 48-megapixel sensor.
The punchy hardware features have been accompanied by great pricing (in China):
- Redmi K40:
- 6GB/128GB: CNY 1999 (~91 thousand HUF)
- 8GB/128GB: CNY 2199 (~100 thousand HUF)
- 8GB/256GB: CNY 2499 (~114 thousand HUF)
- 12GB/256GB: CNY 2699 (~123 thousand HUF)
- Redmi K40 Pro:
- 6GB/128GB: CNY 2,799 (~128 thousand HUF)
- 8GB/128GB: CNY 2,999 (~137 thousand HUF)
- 8GB+256GB: CNY 3,299 (~150 thousand HUF)
- Redmi K40 Pro Plus:
- 12GB/256GB: CNY 3,699 (~169 thousand HUF)
