The launch of the phone, which was announced last week with a huge advertising campaign featuring the #FlagshipDualCamera and #XiaomiGlobalLaunch tags, started at 8:30am local time this morning. The rumours were confirmed, the Xiaomi Mi A1 phone was unveiled, the first Android One phone.
The Global Launch in India (to be announced later) was led by Donovan Sung of Xiaomi and Manu Jain of Xiaomi India.
The course of the event was the usual, with the first rounds presenting the company's development, their market position and the awards they have won so far, globally and of course focusing mainly on India.
Xiaomi Mi A1
The Xiaomi Mi A1 doesn't bring much new to the table, and the hardware specification is not a standout either, as the Mi A1 is designed to meet the needs of Google Android One hardware.

Yes there is B20, 800 MHz frequency!
The most prominent feature of the Xiaomi Mi A1 is the dual rear camera, which we have already seen in the Mi6, Mi 5X.
Compared to competing dual camera devices, the difference is clear to see. The iPhone 7 Plus returned the most natural colours, followed by the Mi A1 and then the OnePlus 5. It's a bit underwhelming in terms of detail, just look at the young man's stubble. That damn beautification feature... :)
However, it is a leader in portraiture, and knowing the experience so far, they have improved this feature compared to the top of the range from other brands.
It performs well in a variety of situations, in both low and high light. By combining the dual camera with HDR, it always gets the best out of the picture.
The full metal casing, as usual, is very thin and light, made possible by the smaller battery, although the battery is smaller than its predecessors, or as it is commonly known, the same battery was used in the Chinese Mi 5X. Yes, the Mi A1 is the Indian Mi 5X...
The surprise came at the end of the event, they listed the regions and countries where the device will be available and yes, Hungary was one of them!
This leads us to believe that official distribution will start soon, the only question is when? The biggest trading companies in European countries will soon be meeting the parent company in China to discuss the details of the official distribution of Xiaomi devices. We are looking forward to the developments and of course like everyone else, the prices. We have to expect that the price of the devices that will be officially marketed in the country will certainly include the costs of the home country, which could be one of the biggest advantages the brand loses. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, everything will become clear in time.
