The Poco, or POCOPHONE, is not new to the mobile market, nor to users in this country. Initially outstandingly good value for money phones are now populating the budget and high end category and finally officially launched in Hungary. I don't mean sales, I mean brand promotion. Moreover, this was the first official Poco press event.
On 8 July 2022, Poco held its first press event to present its latest phones and other products. The event was organised and hosted by the well-known Xiaomi representative in Hungary. Our host was again Dávid Drevenyák, who is the Marketing Manager of Poco Produck. You may have already met him at Xiaomi and Redmi events as a speaker. Of course, the Youtubers and influencers that everyone knows were also present, who must have already put together some content about the products.
The featured Poco stuff is already on the market and available from the official PocoShop.hu side, but that's not all. There was also some new stuff, under the name of Poco. Among others, the Poco F4 / GT, Poco X4 GT and the Poco Watch were presented.
The products were displayed in a sophisticated way, just for us to touch and try everything. The new Poco range is not new to me, as the Chinese Redmi K50 family has been Pocoized again. The Poco Watch was more interesting because it is the first watch from the brand.
Poco Watch
The Poco Watch is the global version of the Chinese Redmi Watch 2. The watch has pretty good features, almost everything that its more expensive counterparts have. A huge AMOLED display so you can see all the data smoothly on the screen. Optical heart rate monitor, accelerometer, gyroscope, electronic compass to accurately measure all sports. Speaking of sports, it knows over 100 sports and can display all the info in the app. So you can track your progress, the kilos you've lost and your health every day.
The big news is GPS! The Poco watch is able to connect to GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou satellites and track your position accurately without the need for a phone. So you don't have to carry it with you when you're out running, cycling or doing other activities. But even if it's raining, you won't mind, because its 5ATM waterproofing can withstand a good summer shower!
It was a fantastic event, a bit family-oriented as it was held in a small corner of our capital. The equipment was very Poco! It is always a pleasure to attend such an event, especially as it was the first Poco press event. Hopefully the next one will be the fan version and I can take you all with me again!
