We have already written about the release and list of MIUI 12 based on Android 11, which you can read here, but now Android 11 has officially arrived for the Xaiomi Mi 10 in China!
The update will be available OTA to everyone who has participated in the beta test so far, and will be available later to everyone using MIUI 12 in China. The update pack is huge, with 3.6 GB of the full new Android system, October's security update pack and a host of new features. I'll highlight a few of these without being exhaustive:
SUPER DOCUMENTS
- The floating function panel supports compression and fast expansion
- Offers better viewing functionality in portrait mode and a top-quality reading experience in landscape mode
- One-click [Import PDF] for documents
SYSTEM
- October 2020 safety patch
- MIUI optimisation
CAMERA
- VLOG mode: two new "Story and Rhythm" templates
- VLOG mode supports the sketch function. You can save the current recording process in the draft field
- AI watermarks - you can place watermarks in 3 places, including latitude and longitude
- Optimised 8K recording mode integrated into the top menu bar
- Once the user has set the magnification ratio for some of the camera's functions, this option remains unchanged if the camera is opened again within 30 seconds
As I wrote, the update has only been released for Chinese phones, the global version will have to wait, maybe a few days or weeks. Be patient!
