On 28 August, this year's Strategy Conference was held in China. While there were no new products or services on display, the main focus of the conference was on the evolution of the TV market and Xiaomi's position in it.

The head of Mi TV industry, Wang Chuan, presented the sales statistics and to our surprise, Xiaomi branded TVs in China have achieved very strong sales results. The best performance was in the second quarter of the year, making Xiaomi the best-selling TV brand in China.

The joy doesn't stop there, the next market to be captured is India. Xiaomi TVs started selling in India six months ago and since then demand for them has been growing rapidly. With the phone's dominance set to sweep the entire Xiaomi ecosystem and of course the local factories also having a lot to stake, it's no wonder that they're expecting another wave of sales in the country. True, today's numbers (500,000 units) are not high, but they are optimistic.

Let's hope they don't stop there and continue to expand their market presence, Europe could really use the Xiaomi smartphone penetration. Especially since they are not only standing their ground on phones, but on all their products and selling them at 5% profit. It is true that the price of their products is different in every country because of the burden on them, and this is most true in our country. Although it is not yet available in the Mi Store, we hope in the future to prove to ourselves that it is worth the risk and order it from other places, not just from pictures.
