This morning, Xiaomi announced on multiple platforms that it will unveil a top-of-the-range phone with dual cameras on 5 September, one day before the end of the IFA event in Berlin. Could the Mi Mix 2 be coming?

Xiaomi will not be attending the event in Germany due to a Twitter post about the #XiaomiGlobalLaunch hashtag. So it's not going to be presented at the IFA.
We don't know anything about the device to be unveiled, except that it will have two cameras like the Mi6. We can see a smaller and a larger circle, so we can associate it with a telephoto lens and a wide-angle camera.
Nothing else is revealed. The Mi Mix 2 is the most likely to be unveiled, once so much is revealed and rumoured. The Starck video, the back cover and the photo of the ad making suggest that the next version of the Mix will be unveiled.
But why a global launch? Last year, the Mix was a big surprise alongside the Mi Note 2, but it didn't make it to a worldwide version. True, it got more languages MIUI-it's just that damn B20... but hope springs eternal. Now is the time for the next phones to be made for the whole world and not just for the brain-damaged countries around us.
With the Samsung Note 8 and LG V30 launching this week, Xiaomi will have plenty of time to prepare for the launch to highlight all the ways in which the Mi Mix 2 is better than its competitors. If nothing else, it certainly beats the field in price!
