We rarely hear or read news about damaged Xiaomi batteries. On top, it has never happened in the Android ONE family. Mi A1 – excluding the initial software bugs – has been one of the best basic Android Xiaomi device, an incredible high demand for this has been among users.
What’s more, the case happened to a friend of Mi Forum’s admin. As part of his daily routine, he place his phone for charge overnight innocently and in the middle of the night he woke up hearing his phone explode. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
For the time being, we don’t know exactly what and why happened. In cases like this we cannot speak about mass production error but unique problem. In the case of Xiaomi devices….it can be a faulty battery, or a charger, an adapter, overvoltage in the mains, etc… Or perhaps battery can’t tolerate quick charge every day and sooner or later it can lead to the damage of the battery.
