Xiaomi had a new subsidiary called Redmi brand in 2019 January. Since then a new modell has been showed every other month. The first modell was the Redmi Note 7 which was followed by Redmi Note 7 Pro in India and of course, they got a Note 7 with a less efficient camera without B20. Two months ago the Redmi 7 was launched which inhereted Note 7’s physical and display size with less efficient resolution and hardware. Now both modells are available in Hungary as well. On top, Redmi Note 7 is also hitting sales records in the oldest Xiaomi webshop. More units have been distributed in the last three months than in the same for Note 5 and Note 6 Pro altogether. By today Redmi is not the same as the Xiaomi Redmi,we have known in the past 7 years. Since 2019 it has improved both in features and quality. The Redmi Note 7 also has Gorilla Glass 5, 18W quick charge, Type-C port, SD660 AIE processor and 48MP dual camera. It has performed very well in our tests and now it is time to step forward to the top category. Redmi K20 and K20 Pro are almost the same with tiny differences. Up to now we have known everything about the the Pro version, SD855, in-display fingerprint scanner, pop-up selfie camera, 3D glass rear cover, etc …but we have not known anything about the K20. Today everything has turned out, it has a smaller processor, quick charger, camera than Pro reducing its price. Not much…..We could say that Redmi made rivals for Mi 9 / Mi 9 SE phones as they feature everything that the big ones as well. What’s more even more as for example 3.5mm Jack which can produce Hi-Res sound. Not to mention its metal frame and glass body. One more thing…. RedmiBook 14 Something that nobody has expected! Redmi has launched its first notebook series!
Similarly to Mi notebooks we can choose among three performance categories but only with 14″ display size. Every version comes with the eighth-gen Intel processor and with quite a good performance. It is not designed as a game device but a work device providing that we choose it with i7 processor but it is also good with i5 as well for everyday use. However, for those who want it for entertainment it provides possibilities in less efficient version. Let’s see what they feature.
