Several devices will soon get cameras with AI support after upgrading to MIUI 10. With AI support there is no need for a dual camera setup so as to capture images with bokeh effect, the software can replace it in the way as if there were two cameras.
Redmi Note 4 will be able to take such a portrait after MIUI 10 update.
This is Redmi Note 3’s rear camera.
The current list for front and rear cameras:
Front camera: Mi MIX 2/Mi 6/Mi 5s Plus/Mi 5s/Mi 5/Mi Note 2/Mi Max 2/Mi Max/Redmi Note 5(India)/Redmi Note 4(India)/Redmi Note 4X/Redmi Note 3/Redmi 5/Redmi 4/Redmi 4X
Rear camera: Mi MIX 2/Mi 5s/Mi 5s Plus/Mi 5/Mi Note 2/Mi Max 2/Mi Max/Redmi Note 4(India)/Redmi Note 4X/Redmi Note 3/Redmi 5/Redmi 4/Redmi 4X
Of course, the list is not complete yet, as soon as tests go on, all the supported phones will probably get the AI support and will be able to capture better images. Before somebody would miss the dual-camera phones from the list of the rear camera supported devices, those phones are suitable for taking portraits. Stay tuned!
