On 9 May, an official conference was held in Mexico to announce the official opening of Latin American markets, including Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Uruguay. In its first official launch in Mexico, Xiaomi announced that it will bring the Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4X to the Mexican market, and the devices will be available both online and offline. Mexico is an important market to expand in and a starting point for the company's expansion in Latin America. Mexico already had 44.2 million smartphone users last year and growing.

 

 

 

 

 

 
Xiaomi has partnered with a number of online and offline store networks to offer direct sales to offline stores such as Coppel, Best Buy and Sam's Club. For online users, the Redmi Note 4X and Redmi 4X are available on Amazon, Best Buy, Soriana, Elektra and Walmart. While the Redmi Note 4 will be available from the end of the month for MXN 5,499 (approximately $285), the Redmi 4x will be available for MXN 3,999 (approximately $200).
 
 

 

To promote the Mi Fans craze, Mi Community LATAM has been announced to join. Active participants in Mi Community will have exclusive access to fan and startup events and products, the Mi Community app will be available on the Google Playstore in Mexico this month and soon in other Latin American countries.
