I don't know about you, but I update the apps on my phone every morning from the Google Play store. And sometimes from other places, but that's another topic... I just realized the surprise I had this morning. There was the in the list of apps Google TV. I thought it was just updated and I ignored it.

But as time went by, I realized that I had never installed it and it's not in my Google folder where I collect Google apps. So where is it? Well, there was the icon on the last page! So Android thought, or so Google thought in this form, that I needed it. I didn't ask for it! But there it was. I guess not only for me, but for all Android users, including Xiaomi owners.

But while you're at it, what the hell is Google TV?

So they've created the Google TV app to replace Play Movies, so they've just renamed it and redesigned it a bit. For us Hungarians, this app is so uninteresting that I'm only writing about it because it appeared on my phone as unsolicited content. There is nothing new in the app, we are supposed to see movies and TV shows, but in our country there are only movies.

Plus, looking at the prices, it's a net failure in our country... who the hell would pay 4.300 HUF for an SD film and 4.500 HUF for HD???? Moreover, neither the Xiaomi Mi Box S or Sticken are available, only the old Play Movies. Netflix and HBO Max are. Seriously. Are they off their meds? For the amount of the movie above, you can watch unlimited movies on any device.

What's more, in the launch video, it promises that content from HBO Max and other streaming providers will be there. There isn't. Thanks!
