The series I never understood. But not just at Xiaomi, nowhere. Gamer phone? Sure, I went through the usual games back in the day, Hill Climb Racing, Subway Surfers, Temple Run, even my favourite game is the GTA knock-off Gangstar Vegas but somehow I got bored. Of course, I understand that sitting on the bus, metro or train is a good way to pass the time, but a phone built for gaming has a different purpose in my opinion. By the way, maybe it's just me, but I certainly wouldn't sit down for long periods of time at home to play games on my mobile phone, because it's just too small. Just as Netflix cannot be enjoyed on a mobile like it can on a larger monitor or TV. But that's just me, let's see the rumours:
The information comes from a Weibo user called "Panda is bald". The rumours are about a smooth version of Black Shark 5. It's powered by a Snapdragon 888+ and powered by a 4600 mAh battery. The device will get Xiaomi's 120W charging, so it will take about a quarter of an hour to charge the device from 0 to 100. The display is a 144 Hz Samsung E4, AMOLED panel of course, with a 720 Hz sample rate.
It might seem strange that a gamer phone of all things doesn't get the latest Snapdragon chip, but, if you're Black Shark 4S series, everything becomes clear. The "regular" Black Shark 4S has "only" a Snapdragon 870, while the 4S Pro gets the 888+ (the same as the regular 5 now gets). So Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be the Black Shark 5 Pro. Further rumours suggest that the Pro will get a 5000 mAh battery and also a 144 Hz but QHD+ display.
The Black Shark 4 series was released last March. If this trend continues, there's still a good month and a half or two months to go until release.
