Xiaomi has launched a new smartphone under the Redmi brand in Japan. The Redmi Note 10T 5G has the same name as a similar model launched in India last year, but the two models are not the same. The new Note 10T is powered by a Qualcomm chipset, unlike last year's MediaTek model, and sports a different design.

The new Redmi Note 10T It features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen that supports 90 Hz refresh rate and offers a 2400 x 1080 pixel FHD+ resolution. The front camera of the device has a pinhole design, while the rear features a dual camera solution in a vertical module in the top left corner of the back panel. The display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

As mentioned earlier, the Note 10T is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset, which provides 5G connectivity for the device. The phone is capable of up to 2.5Gbps download speeds and 660Mbps upload speeds. The chipset also supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. All this is coupled with 4 GB of RAM, while the base model has 64 GB of storage that can be expanded via microSD card.

The Redmi Note 10T 5G features a 50 MP main camera with a 2 MP depth sensor. It features a 5000 mAh battery under the hood and supports 18 W fast charging.

The phone will come with MIUI 13, based on Android 11, which the manufacturer promises will be updated to Android 12.

The phone is available in three colours - black, green and blue.
