The Redmi A and Redmi C series smartphones are the cheapest devices Redmi makes. The company offers 1 Android major version update and 2 years of security updates for the series. The security updates will be delivered quarterly.
Redmi and POCO smartphones

Xiaomi smartphones launched before the third quarter of 2021 may only receive 2 Android major version updates and 3 years of security patches.
