The Mi Box S is essentially a global version of the Mi Box 4. Internally, there's no change, with 2GB of memory paired with 8GB of storage, which is pretty slim unless you're putting everything on an external drive, as you can only expand by reformatting a thumb drive or external hard drive in the system. So we can use it, as we are used to on our phones, to store our media. However, the remote now has a Google Assistant button instead of the usual Xiao AI and a Netflix and Live button have been added.
There's no change in connectivity either, with a 3.5 Jack, HDMI, USB and power supply all on the back of the box. USB can be distributed via a separate power supply with a splitter so that a mouse, keyboard, Pendrive or HDD can be used simultaneously. Thanks to 5G Wifi, streams of larger formats won't buffer all the time. And last but not least, thanks to the global system, we hope that Patchwall will be able to speak Hungarian, but if only English, what the hell...
