Now that the USA is not really keen on Chines manufacturers, Xiaomi focuses rather on Europe. The one of next countries, alongside the ones we have already written about, will be the United Kingdom.
With the alliance with CK Hutchison Holgings it will have access to such strategic places where the company owns telecoms and internet service provider, too as for example the Three in the UK.
This also means that those living in the UK can purchase some Xiaomi devices and services from the Three. Their phones will also be available in Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland and Italy. In an official statement, Tom Malleschitz, the provider’s chief digital officer said:
“we have been watching xiaomi’s success from afar and are impressed with the huge range of connected devices that they currenty offer. this partnership provides us with another leading brand in our smartphone range and also opens the door for innovative new connected products that we can provide to three customers in the future. so watch this space!”
There in no info yet on the phones that will be sold in Europe but it has been reported that other Xiaomi devices will also be sold in A.S. Watson’s retail stores throughout Europe.
