We have just reported about Xiaomi TV OS, the globalization of PatchWall in India. However, the title is based on the report released by IDC on smart TV sales in the second quarter of 2018.

Xiaomi Smart TV became the first brand in China in June 2018 and in the second quarter it achieved the same position in India. For the fact that Xiaomi TVs’ launch started only in February 2018, it sold more than half a million pieces in 5 months.

The first device was available on 14 February 2018 in Indian stores and this was the Xiaomi Mi TV 4 55″. It flattered customers with its thinness, incredible features and most of all its cheap price. 39,999 rupee  ~ 153,135 Ft is a good price also in Hungary as for the supply. Fashionable brands are a bit more expensive here but Sharp or Toshiba TVs are available for the same price (Sencor and so on shouldn’t be mentioned).

Besides Xiaomi Mi TV 4 PRO is 55 inches, Xiaomi Mi TV 4A PRO 55 inches, Xiaomi Mi TV 4C PRO 32 inches, Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 43 inches and Xiaomi Mi TV 4A is 32 inches, all modells follow the company’s cost-efficiency strategy.
