POCOPHONE by Xiaomi – MIUI10

We have been testing the features of Poco F1 from every aspect, design, performance, camera, etc. But only the Stable version of MIUI 9 has been available so far, this device can only be purchased with it all over the world. Here in Hungary it is also available with MIUI 9 in Mi Store Lurdy Shopping Centre as well. It shouldn’t have run on MIUI 9 as it isn’t for full display and wasn’t designed for notch operation, it was only packed by MIUI programmers in order that the company could sell it somehow until the MIUI 10 Global Stable is available. They couldn’t sell it with developer ROM as it contained several bugs. Don’t pry into it.

On Friday (14.9.2018) developer ROM also arrived. Well, here was the catch: it was still marked MIUI9 on the English forum which wasn’t encouraging at all.

And one more thing! I wouldn’t label their blunder, it hasn’t been the only one. I say the good thing, it is actually MIUI 10! I downloaded it on my phone at once. I have to remark here that the full action nulled the device, all our data, apps, photos, videos etc… will be destroyed. Well, before upgrade it is worth backing up our data in Google and/or Mi account or on your PC as well.

The most striking difference is the choice of font style. At last they realised that Hungarian accented characters haven’t been displayed by any Global ROMs as I said it in my first video…..

I wouldn’t go in details of MIUI 10 presentation, the ones who upgraded to Global Developer (or MIUIHU, xiaomi.eu, etc….) know exactly how it works and looks. It is not important now. The POCOPHONE was advertised as the ‘MASTER OF SPEED’. It has been a fine phone with SD845 without problems. However, we expected more than that, and yes, with MIUI 10, the land of Chanaan is here! Based on AnTuTu results Poco F1 is the second fastest Xiaomi phone and it also stepped ahead from the 8th place to the 4th globally!

In terms of operation there is no change but in scores there is. However, it has stepped ahead so significantly that other manufacturers won’t be able to compete with it. If you don’t feel like the brand, then it won’t change. Share it not only in Xiaomi groups but also for people and places where they aren’t aware of these things… :)
