After the official announcement, you must be really looking forward to the launch of the Mi MIX 3. The event in September was probably postponed because of the Apple and the one on Monday because of Huawei to 25 October. It wouldn’t have been good if launch events follow one after another because media people cannot be in many different places at the same time and it takes at least a week when everyone can overcome the shock caused by the Chinese competitor’s portfolio.
We already know that Mi MIX 3 will be the world’s first 5G commercial smartphone and it will be equipped with 10GB RAM.
The possible colour variations have also been released today, but they were not officially confirmed. The manufacturer has made an innovation not only with its design and technological solution but it will be the first MIX device with the most possible colour variants to date. The first Mi MIX and the Mi MIX 2 had arrived only in Black and White colour options. Then the Mi MIX 2s came out in Green Emerald not long after its release. The Mi 8 Pro and Lite modells come in colour gradient choices which was not unique as several manufacturers offer similar smart phones.
According to an Indian publication, the Mi MIX 3 will be arriving in three colours. These are Black, Green Emerald and Sapphire Blue. It is possible that the last two could be colour gradient variants like the above mentioned Mi 8 Pro or Lite.
RAM/storage variants are the following: the entry-level modell will come with 6+128GB, the second variant will include 8+128GB and 8+256GB , the top category will be available only in limited numbers with 10+256GB. (A Mi MIX 2 and 2s were also available with 64GB storage) According to rumours the 128GB will be the smallest storage option, which seems to be a wise decision because of the lack of expansion.
So we cannot expect a half or one terra storage based on the leaks so far. Perhaps next year…
As far as other specs we already know that it is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 845 modified version with 5G support, 6.4-inch Super Amoled display, in-display fingerprint scanner and sliding design. With this last solution it will have nearly 100% screen to body ratio. We can expect other subtleties which the manufacturer will leak in the following days.
