Soon, the dreaded adverts will also appear in YouTube Shorts videos.

Copying is a common practice among social networking sites, with companies adopting well-established features from their competitors. A good example of this is YouTube Shorts, which brought the short video format known from TikTok to the video sharing platform. It seems that this time the copying paid off, as YouTube's parent company Google decidedthat it will soon allow monetised advertising on the Shorts platform. The company is said to advertise mainly promotions and mobile apps in short videos.

It is not known exactly when the ads will arrive, but the company is already testing their rollout, so they should appear within the foreseeable future. According to Google, YouTube Shorts generates 30 billion views a day, around four times the number of views last year.

YouTube has recently launched a so-called. Superb thank you has also introduced a feature worldwide that allows users to send donations of $2 to $50 to creators if they like the content and want to say thank you.
