Xiaomi's mini treadmill is not new as it has been available in China for 4 months under the name of WalkingPad Mini Walk Smart. It costs 1,699 Yuan in China (~248$ - 70,000 Ft) but in Europe it will cost much more and there will be other differences between the two treadmills.

The Xiaomi WalkingPad comes with no complicated interface or control panel but rather a LED display. We can control it using a small remote control. However, we also have the choice to use a smartphone app to show our performance and to set the treadmill.

The Xiaomi WalkingPad comes in a compact size, it weighs 28 kg and is 12.9 cm high, 0.44 m2. Its speed range is 0.5-6 km/h either manually or automatic mode. But as opposed to the Chinese version which supported a maximum load of 90 kg, the European version will support 110 kg.

The body is made of aluminium alloy while the pad is made of high-density elastic material. With manual mode, the speed can be adjusted, while automatic mode detects the length and pace of our steps and adjusts the track accordingly. When the user moves towards the front, it increases the speed, when the user moves towards the end of the track, it slows down.

While the Chinese version was available through MiJia app, the European version will probably support the MiHome application. Its price as I mentioned above will increase substantially and will be widely available in webshops from this month or in October with a price tag of 499 $ (~140,745 Ft). This is not an attractive price considering that a similar product here costs about 80,000 Ft.

On top, Amazon will sell if for 599$ which is absolutely against Xiaomi pricing.
