Xiaomi Redmi 5A comes with the first stable MIUI9!

A month ago we wrote about MCT3B appeared on TENAA Xiaomi device, which is pretty much the Redmi 5A phone. We didn't even shoot far... Since then, another rumour, another Xiaomi phone codenamed MCE3B and this is the other Redmi 5A.

The Redmi 5A will be available with 2 / 3 GB RAM and 16 / 32 GB back. The display of the Redmi 5A will remain 5-inch HD resolution (1280 x 720p), with a thickness of 8.35 mm and a weight of 137 grams. The list also includes colour options: black, gold, white, blue, red, pink, grey and silver.

So far, we could only rely on TENAA information, but now we have a picture that is strong proof that the device already exists and will debut with the most anticipated MIUI9 stable version.

Based on the image, we can now say for sure that the new lower-end Redmi 5A comes with the latest Android 7.1.2 based stable MIUI9, with a very recent Android security patch (although the developer roms use September). Given the Polish language and of course the MIUI version designation, we're already sure that the phone will start with global sales. The processor will be a Snapdragon 425 or 427 (MTK will no longer be in the lowest versions!), with 2 GB of memory and 16 GB of storage.

If indeed the assumed prices are correct, then once again Xiaomi's incredible advantage over the competition will be proven, offering quality at affordable prices for all levels. True, the Chinese/Indian/Brazilian/etc. prices will be under 25.000 HUF, we are waiting with interest to see how it will be priced in the European market, especially in our country!
