In recent days, there have been rumours that Xiaomi is planning to launch a new sub-brand. So far, most of these rumours have been about the Xiaomi X1 phone, but now a picture of the upcoming new Xiaomi phone has surfaced, advertised on a poster. This is the Xiaomi 5X.

A piece of this poster was leaked last week, and other than the price, you couldn't really see much else on it, but now here is the full one. According to the image, the new model will be equipped with a 5.5″ FullHD display, Snapdragon 625 SoC and 4GB of RAM.

The poster features Chinese celebrity Kris Wu, formerly the face of Huawei, who has apparently moved to Xiaomi to promote the new phone in the East.

But today we can see the poster in its almost full glory, giving us even more information about the upcoming Xiaomi 5X. In the hands of the star, we can see a device in gold, but there will also be other usual options, black, blue, white, etc. The device will have a full metal body and the dual rear camera in the picture will have a 5x optical zoom. The rear cameras will probably be 12MP Sony IMX386 and Samsung S5k3m3.

Today's rumors also revealed that the Xiaomi 5X will be available in two variants, the lower Snapdragon 625 4/64GB 1999 Yuan (294$) and a Snapdragon 660 6/64GB, the price of which we can only guess. There's no official word on its release, Chinese rumour sites say we could see it in July, only the rumoured Android 7.1.1-based MIUI9 won't be available until August and the new phones will obviously be released with it. So we can wait until August for that too.
