We've already had the international launch of the Xiaomi 12 series, we've recently had the pleasure of getting a taste of the new flagships at home and next week will see another milestone in Europe. But more on that later. And yesterday, the Xiaomi 12 Lite popped up on the GeekBench list.
So far, we have seen 3 versions, the plain Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12X. GeekBench's list a new version has been released, code-named "Xiaomi 2203129G", which will be the Xiaomi 12 Lite.
The GeekBench site revealed that the Lite was listed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor and 8 GB of memory. Its performance is on par with phones with similar processors, with a single-core score of 778 and a multi-core score of 2864.
There's not much more info about the new phone at the moment, but it comes with MIUI 13 on Android 12 out of the box. Only the 5G version of the phone has been leaked yet, although the predecessor had both 4 and 5G. We'll see if it's only the processor that will be "fat", or if other components will be mutilated at the altar of price.
We have already seen this processor in Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE and Xiaomi CIVI. Although the CIVI is not known in this country because it is "only China", the 5G NE is the opposite. Let's hope that for this processor choice we will get a low enough price and the camera trio will not be worse than in the Xiaomi 12X. We'll see.
