The Xiaomi has officially launched an updated version of its cheapest IP camera, the Xiaomi XiaoFang 1S-t. Retrieved from new IP camera price has not changed, in China you can get it for $15, which is 3800 Ft.
What is the main difference from its predecessor?
One of the best news is that no more Chinese IP addresses and VPN tinkering, the updated version will now be able to work with European servers.
But that's not the only difference. The exterior itself hasn't changed (the good can't be improved in this price segment), but the electronics have been improved to meet today's requirements. The processor and the sensor have been replaced. With this, colour reproduction is even better, details are sharper and dark areas are brighter. The night-time black-and-white mode has also been improved, showing more shades of grey, and sharpness and brightness have been improved. The f/2.0 brightness is now really sufficient for indoor use.

The update has been good for the hitherto somewhat doomed (outside Asia) mini camera. For those who have been hesitant to buy, or are planning to buy something cheap, the XiaoFang 1S is highly recommended. You can order it from webshops for 6000-6500 HUF, but you can expect a lower price in some promotions and coupon discounts.
