Most electric cars today can only be charged by cable, but there are experiments and already working solutions for wireless charging. Xiaomi's cars seem to come with such equipment as standard or optional.
According to the website of the State Intellectual Property Office of China, the patent "Wireless charging method, system and data carrier" applied by Xiaomi Auto Technology Co., Ltd. has been granted, and the application number is CN114785002B.
On receipt of a charging request message sent by the vehicle to be charged, the charger will determine the destination parking space where the vehicle to be charged is currently parked
Determines the target induction coil from the coil pack corresponding to the target parking space
Place the electric energy receiving coil mounted on the vehicle to be charged through the target induction coil to obtain the target position of the electric energy receiving coil
Use any idle electric power transfer coil placed in the preset position as the target electric power transfer coil and move the target electric power transfer coil to the target position so that the vehicle to be charged can be charged wirelessly through the target electric power transfer coil. and the coil receiving the electric power
According to Xiaomi, this patent avoids the need for the driver to constantly change the parking position of the vehicle to be charged so that the target power coil and the power receiver coil are exactly in line. Thus reducing the complexity of the driver's parking operation and improving the parking of the vehicle.
