About a week before the SMATE men's electric razor official launch, and our partial demonstration today we received information about the arrival of another device.
Within six months, Xiaomi has announced two electric shavers. The the first with Mijia platform, which is an easily portable, compact vibrating razor with an extra powerbank function. And a week ago, the aforementioned SMATE professional razor, which also uses vibrating knife technology.

The third new MiJia product announced today, this time using the circular knife solution popularised by Philips.

Why two razors in such a short time? Precisely because of the different technology. Xiaomi is trying to satisfy all needs at multiple price levels (even for mobile phones).

The Mijia Rotary electric razor is jointly developed by Xiaomi, in partnership with Remington (parent company - Spectrum Brands). You all know Remington, you can't complain about the quality there either (though their unique charger connectors were annoying at one time).

All three heads of the Mijia electric razor have a double circular blade and double blade made of high quality steel imported from Japan (JFE) and Sweden (SANDVIK). A total of 135 teeth and 15 knives are available. The Xiaomi Mijia electric razor is equipped with a thin 0.08 mm auxiliary blade. The latter is used to lift the hairs, which are later cut off by the main knife. The 360° movement of the blades facilitates the efficient removal of hairs. The electric razor is IP67 rated, so it is safe to use in the shower. It supports both wet and dry shaving.

The electric motor responsible for propulsion was supplied by MABUCHI MOTOR of Japan. Two gears are available to suit different needs. The shaver has a cutting speed of 3.9 m/s.
The Mijia electric shaver has a travel lock that prevents it from accidentally turning on when not in use in the bag/case. It also has a function that indicates when cleaning is due and warns when the shaver is malfunctioning. Xiaomi does not mention the battery capacity, but promises that the shaver has fast charging. With this, you only need to charge it for 5 minutes for a single shave. It takes 120 minutes to fully charge the shaver via the charging station and 60 minutes via QC charging head.

The Mijia Rotary electric shaver will cost $32 (approx. 8200 Ft) and will be available on April 3 on the official Xiaomi website and in all known online stores, only in black. More details will be coming soon as soon as we get more information from the manufacturer.
