Here's a sneak peek of the upcoming Mi 5.

It's only the first week of January, but already some exciting news about Xiaomi has emerged. First, the inventor of Xiaomi's marketing strategy, Li Wan Qiang announcedto return to the company. He has been with Xiaomi from the very beginning, right from the development of MIUI, creating Mi.com and the marketing team and developing some ground-breaking marketing strategies at Xiaomi (he left the company in October 2014 for personal reasons).

Next news is the arrival of the long-awaited and highly anticipated new flagship, the Mi 5. A lot of articles and rumours about the Mi 5 have been circulating for the last 2 years, we've seen all kinds of speculations, specs, plans, unveilings, leaked images on the web, but none of them have been officially confirmed by Xiaomi. Today Li officially announced that MI 5 is ready and will be unveiled after the Spring Festival (also known as Chinese New Year). Maybe some Mi fans are wondering why Xiaomi doesn't show the device right away if it's already ready? The answer is very simple, the MI 5 is currently being mass produced so that Mi fans can get their hands on the device immediately after its launch.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 , which can process huge amounts of data at once - it can track drivers' movements using sensors and cameras, display output images in 4K, provide real-time navigation and support, among many other things. Qualcomm's new top processor is significantly faster than the old chipset. The company says the new chipset is about twice as efficient as the Snapdragon 810 and consumes about 30 percent less power.

As usual, we'll post Mi 5 related news on this forum, so keep up with the news guys! Mi 5 is not that far away.

We've got Sunlight display and double-headed wake-up on some Mi devices, enjoyment and USB Type-C on the Mi 4c, huge battery capacity and fingerprint scanner on the Redmi Note 3.
So the big question is ........ .........

What other features would you like to see on the Mi 5?
