When you think of a Xiaomi bracelet, you think of Mi Band, and rightly so. Its shape is also on everyone's mind's eye, an elongated, rounded shape with an angular now OLED screen in the middle. Xiaomi might want to give its next smartwristband, the Mi Band 7, a new shape. Although the angular bracelet is not new to us Europeans, as there is the Redmi Smart Band Pro, which was only released in our country, not in China.
Redmi's new global bracelet is already known, we wrote about it, but we haven't tested it yet. But what goes around comes around... However, this form is probably something that Xiaomi would like to make a space for in its home country and perhaps for the general public, in the form of the Xiaomi Mi Band 7. Xiaomi Mobile Software Co., Ltd. has recently filed a patent for a device that is supposed to be just such a shape.
In a corporate information, business data and executive personnel query system, we found the patent graphic above, which almost looks like a Redmi bracelet. The wording doesn't reveal much about it, but a few lines of text read:
- The name of this design product: smart bracelet
- Purpose of the design product: to display time, exercise, health status, etc.
- The design points of this product are: the shape
- The image or photo that best shows the essence of the design: 3D view
- In the design, component 1 is the smart bracelet, component 2 is a longer wristband and component 3 is a shorter wristband
I tried to search the Chinese web, but unfortunately I could not find any official information about the square bracelet patent. But as soon as I know more, I'll be back with the details!
