In December 2017, Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 845 mobile platform at the Snapdragon Tech Summit. But Xiaomi is the first Chinese phone company to unveil a device equipped with Qualcomm's latest chip.

Xiaomi CEO recently announced that Xiaomi is putting a lot of effort into AI this year and in devices coming out this year, like the Mi7, AI will already help to ensure that dual-camera images are of high quality. The Mi7 will also bring other new features, it will be the first Xiaomi phone to support wireless charging. According to some rumours, it will not only come with the standard screen display, but also a larger Mi7 Plus version.
