Xiaomi has announced in a Twitter post that it will unveil a new Mi Max 2 version with reduced 32 GB storage in India. The Mi Max 2 is currently available in 4 GB + 64 GB variants and 4 GB + 128 GB versions, but now a 32 GB version will also be available for the Indian market. The new variant will launch on September 20 at noon local time and will be sold exclusively on Mi.com, Mi Home and Amazon India. The new variant will be launched at an introductory price range of Rs 12,999, which is approximately 202$.

With the new storage, the device retains all the features of the previous model. The display is still 6.44 inches and has a resolution of 1080p. The Mi Max 2 is powered by the energy-efficient Snapdragon 625, an octa-core processor. Dual SIM tray, one of which can accommodate a microSD card up to 256GB.

 

Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a 12MP Sony IMX386 rear sensor and a 5 megapixel camera for selfies. A rear fingerprint scanner, as well as a 5300 mAh battery, which in addition to its thickness, added only 0.1 mm to the Mi Max's smaller battery. The Mi Max 2 is Android 7.1.1 based MIUI9 and comes in matte black with a fingerprint-resistant coating.
