The Xiaomi Hub Gateway's built-in Bluetooth signal booster allows the device to receive Bluetooth signals remotely within the home, connecting multiple rooms to the system.
Hub management is available through the new local hub architecture of the Xiaomi Hub Gateway, which means that devices in the same local network are located on a hub gateway, providing a locally built connection for devices in the same household. According to Xiaomi, fluctuations and outages in the external network will not prevent the Hub Gateway from performing pre-set automation tasks.
It is powered by a quad-core processing chip and has 4 GB of storage. Wired and Wi-Fi connectivity is possible via the Xiaomi Hub Gateway.
At CES 2019, a new range of Yeelight products was launched, the BLE Mesh lighting. The idea is that the devices form a Mesh network, connected via Bluetooth, first to each other and then to the Bluetooth Gateway, increasing range and speed.
No European release is yet known.
