This year Xiaomi has entered the market for low-cost, full-screen phones. Recently, the most talked-about series yet, the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus, were launched. The phone would be available in four colours, Gold, Rose Gold, Blue and Black, but so far Black has been missing from the shelf

Today Xiaomi announced that the black version of the Redmi 5, after Christmas, will be available on December 25th for 799 Yuan ~ 31.900 Ft for the 2GB model, and the 3GB model for 899 Yuan, which is roughly 35.900 Ft outside in China.

Let's review what the Redmi 5, which was expected to be a Redmi Note 5, but is rumoured not to be. 5.7-inch HD+ display with 1440 x 720 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. SoC is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, which spins at 1.8 GHz with 8 cores. The all-metal chassis phone is available in 2 variants, with 2/16 and 3/32 GB memory/storage. The rear camera is capable of capturing 12MP images with f/2.2 aperture and 125 µm pixel sensor, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), low-light image enhancement technology, face detection, HDR, Panorama and Burst mode features, with a smooth LED flash. On the front, a 5MP selfie camera lets you take beautiful pictures of yourself at all times with Smart Beauty 5.0 and record HD video at up to 30 frames per second. Connectivity options include hybrid dual SIM, micro USB, full Netcom support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS. The device is powered by a 3,300mAh battery, which is well utilized by MIUI 9, based on the Android Nougat operating system!
