Just yesterday we announced the new Xiaomi Mi 5X phone and the launch of the MIUI9 update on 26 July. The Mi 5X phone has since been uploaded to the Chinese online store, where Chinese customers can register their interest in the device and enter a great game for valuable prizes.

The official images on the online store reveal a few details, it will be available in 3 colours: black, gold and pink. The design of the phone is not much new, with the speakerphone, selfie camera, proximity and light sensors above the screen and capacitive buttons below. The screen isn't large, but you can see from the white front panel that there's a black border. BLACK POINT! This is no longer visible on the black front panel. However, it does get a full metal body - well, let's give it half a red point for that - which makes it more durable than the top-end ceramic and glass cases.

The phone has the standard 3.5″ Jack socket on the bottom and the USB-C connector in the middle. Next to the USB on the right is a speaker, it is not yet known if they will use the speech speaker for stereo sound, as on the Mi6. On the edges are the usual power and volume buttons, opposite it is the SIM tray, which may be able to accommodate 2 SIMs, or an SD card may be loaded alongside a SIM.

On the back of the phone is the main component that you can guess from the advertisements, the dual camera with dual flash. Rumours suggest that the dual 12MP camera will feature a Sony IMX386 and Samsung S5k3m3 sensor, while the front will also have an unprecedented 16MP resolution if the rumours are true. On the back, you'll find the usual Redmi series fingerprint reader.

On the phone's website, where you can only play with the Chinese star (Wu Yifan) for valuable prizes, there are no technical details about the device, but from the poster that leaked the other day, we know that it will have a 5.5″ FullHD display, Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4GB RAM and will cost 1.999 Yuan. There is a huge interest in the phone, with over 200,000 registered players already.

The launch will take place alongside MIUI9 on 26 July at the Beijing National Convention Centre. A rendezvényre felkérik egy másik kínai celebet, Kris Wu-t, hogy segítse a készülék népszerűsítését. Ugyan ezen a napon mutatja be a Meizu a Pro 7 telefonját, hát kíváncsiak vagyunk, melyik lesz nagyobb durranás! Na jó ezt már tudjuk előre. :)
