Besides the many high-tech gadgets, there are other innovative and useless developments from Xiaomi, but the LCD Writing Tablet in the title might not be one of them.

Although it's not the only one of its kind from Xiaomi, there are also 10 and 20 inch versions, but they haven't reached us yet. According to the manufacturer, it's intended for office use, education, message board or note taking, but since nothing stays on it unless you leave it and buy another one... So you have to think about it, if you take notes on it, sooner or later you have to transfer it to a permanent surface, be it digital (notes on a pc or phone) or the good old tried and tested method of pen and paper.

But for temporary things like messages, scribbles, daily menus, daily specials, it's a great choice as a shop window. Perfect for developing children's skills, it can help improve motor functions, develop creativity and can also be a fun activity for parent-child pairs.

The whole tablet is pleasantly flexible and resistant, with a semi-soft ABS casing, which is good for not deforming when dropped. The white colour is not the best, though, especially if you carry it around and kids touch it day after day, it gets dirty quickly. It would be nice to have darker colours and an inverse display with dark "ink" on a light background.
