Not much is known about the next generation of wearable smartwatch, the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 bracelet. What we have revealed so far, we have brought you in a previous article. But now, according to a Chinese source, production of the new bracelet has started!
The Xiaomi Smart Band 6 already can also pay, still performs well at the box office and many athletes choose to measure their performance. Although it is a sports bracelet, or rather fitness bracelet, it is still used by many people in their everyday life. It's small and cheap, but on the other hand it has almost everything that smartwatches have.
Xiaomi's new bracelet is already globally labelled as Smart, as we've already seen from its software. So it's going to be called the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 everywhere, not Mi Band as the title says.
The difference or improvement will now be "only" small, slightly better and nicer display, AOD capable AMOLED display, better battery life. The shape will remain the same, the size will increase only a little. What we don't know for sure yet, but again we can only guess, is that it will have a GPS receiver and that we won't need to carry a phone for outdoor sports. Well, it's about time.
And with production of the Smart Band 7 starting soon, we can expect it to be unveiled in the near future. Although there are no rumours yet as to when this will happen, we are keeping an eye on the Chinese press and social media. As soon as we know something, we'll be back with the details!
