Manu Kumar Jain, Head of Xiaomi India, announced that Xiaomi India has sold 1 million Xiaomi TVs in 9 months, becoming India's first smart TV brand and the first online TV brand. This means that Xiaomi sold 2.5 TVs every minute in these 9 months. Sales volume was 500,000 in 6 months and took a further 3 months to reach one million.
On Feb 14th, 2018 we launched a dream with an aim to change the TV game in India. Today, we're super kicked to announce that we have sold 1,000,000 Mi TVs in just 9 months.
Just goes on to show the popularity of Mi TVs in India right now. Thank you Mi Fans! #1SmartTVBrand pic.twitter.com/2rtx0780QJ

The launch of three Global TVs at the end of September was the driving force behind the mass purchase. The Xiaomi TV 4 Pro 55″, Xiaomi TV 4A Pro 49″ and Xiaomi TV 4C Pro 32″ boosted the brand in the Indian TV market. Clearly, content has limited the uptake of these devices so far, as only Chinese Patchwall has been available so far, which has been appreciated almost exclusively in China. Along with Globalisation, it has not only attracted the interest of Indian fans, but also fans worldwide and especially those in Hungary.
Devices with Global Patchwall are equipped with artificial intelligence to make more than 700,000 hours of media content available, including voice search (Google Voice Search). We hope it will arrive before Christmas, in our Mi Store or Xiaomishop or wherever. It's not worth ordering from the East unless you're a die-hard fan, as the price will rival the domestic competition by the time it gets here.
