Apple's parental controls will soon be rolled out in more countries.

Apple confirmed last August that it would be adding serious protection features to upcoming updates to iOS, thus putting a stop to the child abuse. One of these is a protection feature that uses machine learning to detect a naked photo on a child's phone and hides the problematic content from their eyes, who will only see a blurry image.

The nude photo blurring feature has so far only been available in the US, but will be rolled out to the UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia in the future. from a The Verge. The company did not give any details about when exactly, but the The Guardian report according to the function "coming soon" is coming to the UK.

In practice, if a naked photo is sent to a user's phone under 18, Messages (the messenger) will blur it and send a pop-up message telling the user that they are not alone and should seek help from a trusted person or professional. The system also offers the option to block the user.

Last year, Apple announced the introduction of several child protection features, including a solution that would allow the company to scan all content on users' iPhones or iCloud accounts to detect paedophile content. The development came in for a lot of criticism, and the company ultimately decided not to introduce the feature for the time being.
