Xiaomi 12/Pro and Xiaomi Pad 5 get Android 13

The final version of Android 13 is still a long way off, according to Google's timeline, it will be released in August 2022. Beta versions were already available in April and Xiaomi is releasing beta versions for its 2 latest phones and tablets for testing.

I should say up front that this is not MIUI, it's stock, the basic Android system. Before everyone starts looking for the download link.

The announcement has already been made by Xiaomi in the East and globally, although not many people in China are interested in the new basic Android. A Xiaomi Community forum in an announcement published today, the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 5 devices have been marked with download links. The announcement is translated into English:

Hello Xiaomi fans!

Welcome to the Android 13 Developer Preview Program!
The Developer Preview Program provides you with all the features you need to improve the compatibility and development of your app for the next version of Android. Currently, the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 5 are available for the Android 13 Developer Preview Program, which developers can use for free. Flash the preview build and you can use it immediately.

Before you start:
1. Please remember to back up your data before updating to Android 13
2. Please download the Android 13 build from Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and For XiaomiPad 5 devices
3. Please upload Android 13 via the following: fastboot method

If you want to exit or reset to factory settings, you can do this in Fastboot mode:
1- Switch off the device.
2- Press the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously for 4-5 seconds to enter Fastboot mode.

So the testing is underway and we already know that these three Xiaomi devices will be the first to receive the new base, under the soon-to-be-released MIUI 13.5. Oh yes, MIUI 13.5 hasn't been announced yet, but I'll write about it soon!
