After the Android 12-based MIUI 13 update for last year's top phones in China, last year's mid-range phones will be updated. The latest such device is the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G.

Xiaomi has started updating the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G MIUI 13 in China. The new system update for the device comes with build number V13.0.3.0.SKPCNXM. Besides offering new MIUI features, the Android version is also updated to version 12.

As usual, the release of the update is scheduled, and only beta testers have received it yet. It will be released to the general public as soon as it is declared bug-free.

MIUI 13

The MIUI 13 did not bring huge changes, the main changes were under the bonnet. Atomized memory provides better RAM optimization, while liquid storage makes internal storage more efficient.

It dynamically manages system resources so that the processor can focus on the important tasks, guaranteeing smoothness.

Smart Balance brings an innovation in energy use, with the possibility to choose between energy saving and performance. This can add up to 10% of uptime, which can make a big difference in some cases.

In addition, the widgets have also been updated, although fewer new features have been brought to the European ruin compared to the Chinese version, as we have become accustomed to in the past.

Android 12

The new Android version 2 promises greater security and efficiency, with new privacy options. For example, the accuracy of location data can be set per app, so a weather forecast app doesn't get your exact location, but only what it needs to work, in this example the city.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G is available internationally as the POCO X3 GT. This means that this phone will also be updated soon.

Redmi launched the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G in China at the end of May 2021. The device debuted with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11. It was updated to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition in October.

Since MIUI 13 and Android 12 are the first major MIUI and Android updates, the phone will probably get at least one more major MIUI and Android update in the future.
